The episode ended when Peter Johnson bought the club on 20 March 1987. No points deduction applied (the Football League's automatic administration penalty did not exist until 2004-05).
Owner at the time: Bruce Osterman
Outcome: Survived. Peter Johnson bought Bruce Osterman's 260,000 shares on 20 March 1987, and the club stayed in the Football League.
