    Outcome: Survived. Supporter-based consortium Valiant 2001 completed a takeover in April 2003 (BBC, 7 April 2003); old company dissolved (Wikipedia, unverified).

    Port Vale (Valiant 2001) Football Club Limited was placed into administration at a High Court hearing in Birmingham on the application of Stoke-on-Trent City Council, and the League Two club was deducted 10 points.

    Outcome: Survived. Administrators Begbies Traynor, on Stoke-on-Trent City Council's application; CVA approved 26 April 2012; exited 20 November 2012 when Paul Wildes completed his takeover. Old company compulsorily wound up from 3 July 2013.
