Macclesfield Town, relegated from League Two to the National League in August 2020 after EFL points deductions for unpaid wages and unfulfilled fixtures, were wound up in the High Court on 16 September 2020 over debts of more than £500,000. The National League served a notice of expulsion effective 12 October 2020.
