Coventry City Football Club Ltd, the subsidiary holding the Ricoh Arena lease, went into administration on 21 March 2013 amid a rent dispute with Arena Coventry Ltd, and a High Court hearing on 26 March ruled the club 'in administration'. The Football League deducted 10 points on 28 March 2013 (2012-13) and a further 10 points for 2013-14 after the CVA failed (10 + 10 = 20).

    Owner at the time: Sisu

Outcome: Survived. Administrator Paul Appleton sold the club to Otium Entertainment Group (accepted 14 June 2013); the CVA was rejected by ACL and HMRC, but the Football League transferred the share to Otium on 2 August 2013 under 'exceptional circumstances' on acceptance of a further 10-point deduction for 2013-14. Old company Coventry City Football Club Ltd faced liquidation.
