A year after relegation from the Premier League, Bradford City went into administration with debts later put at GBP 33m, including the contract of Benito Carbone. Creditors accepted a CVA paying 10p in the pound in August 2002.

Outcome: Survived. Creditors approved a CVA at 10p in the pound on 1 August 2002 and the club kept its First Division place. Bradford entered a second, separate administration in February 2004 after defaulting on CVA payments.

Bradford City went back into administration, with Kroll, after defaulting on the CVA payments agreed in 2002 when the Rhodes family stopped funding the club. It was a second, separate insolvency episode from the 2002 administration.
