Championship Goals – 1st January 2016

by | Jan 2, 2016

Promotion chasing Hull City kept up the pressure on Middlesbrough and Derby County at the top of the Championship last night when a last minute goal from Adama Diomande gave them a two-one win at Queens Park Rangers. The goal was gifted to Hull after the QPR goalkeeper Rob Green collided with defender Grant Hall while trying to deal with a cross, and came just four minutes after Sebastian Polter had levelled for the home side. Abel Hernandez had given Hull the lead after an hour. In yesterday’s other Championship match, Wolverhampton Wanderers extended Brighton & Hove Albion’s run of matches without a win to six with a one-nil win at the American Express Community Stadium.
