Non-League Videos Of The Week: 14/05/2012

Well, this is the final edition of Non-League Videos Of The Week for this season, but we do at least have a round-up games that are well worth an hour of your time. We kick-off with a double-bill from Wembley, with highlights of Saturday’s FA Trophy final between York City and Newport County, followed by Sunday’s FA Vase final between Dunston UTS and West Auckland. Then we have extended highlights from the Blue Square South play-off final between Dartford and Welling United and the only goal of the match from the Blue Square North play-off final – complete with the musical accompaniment of the Electric Light Orchestra – between Gainsborough Trinity and Nuneaton Town. And finally, we have the final of the Surrey Senior Cup, played at Kingsmeadow between Woking and Sutton United. Our thanks go to all those that have taken the time to record, edit and upload these videos. You can follow Twohundredpercent on Twitter by clicking...

Non-League Videos Of The Week: 18-03-2012

Cup finals are in the air for our Non-League Videos Of The Week for this week. In the FA Trophy, a place at Wembley was at stake as the second leg of the semi-finals was played between Luton Town & York City, and Newport County & the only non-Blue Square Bet Premier side left in the competition, Wealdstone. York City led 1-0 after their first leg at Bootham Crescent, whilst Newport County led Wealdstone going into the second leg. Our third match is a small departure from usual, a semi-final from the FA Sunday Cup, as Hetton Lyons Cricket Club, from Hetton-le-Hole in Tyne & Wear, and Liverpool-based Oyster Martyrs in a match played at Billingham Synthonia FC earlier today. Finally, we have a match from the Blue Square Bet South, between title-chasing Dartford and a Havant & Waterlooville side that is battling against relegation. Our thanks, as ever, go to those that take the time to record, edit and upload these videos. You can follow Twohundredpercent on Twitter by clicking...

The (Possibly Un)Welcome Return Of Non-League Videos Of The Week

The Football League begins its new season next weekend, but non-league football doesn’t begin again for a couple of weeks. With this in mind, it’s time to take a quick look around how some clubs are doing in their pre-season friendlies. All of these matches are from the last couple of weeks and, it has to be said, we have no details on how strong the teams taking part in these matches my or may not have been. Anyway, as a teaser for the start of the new season, here’s a quick look at: York City vs Hartlepool United, Woking vs Charlton Athletic, Bury Town vs Colchester United, Chorley vs Bolton Wanderers and Mansfield Town vs Notts County. Non-League Videos Of The Week: Blue Square Premier Special

This morning’s non-league videos of the week come from the Blue Square Bet Premier. Last weekend saw the quarter-finals of the FA Trophy, which involved a number of clubs from the fifth division, all of which left clubs that had already been eliminated from that particular competition to get on with the important job of accumulating points in the league. Our first match features Wimbledon and Altrincham. Wimbledon, to put it bluntly, need to keep winning now if they are to get anywhere near the top of the Blue Square Premier table by the end of the season. Their defeat at home against Wrexham during the week left Crawley Town firmly in the driving seat at the top of the table, just three points behind them but with five games in hand. Altrincham, meanwhile, remain firmly in the relegation places at the bottom of the table. Our second match features another club that are battling against relegation, Hayes & Yeading United, against a team chasing a place in the play-offs, York City. Hayes, with the lowest average home crowds in the league, were always going to face an uphill battle to stay in the Blue Square Premier and it is to their credit that they are still in touch with the others at the foot of the table and they currently sit one place above the bottom four in...
