Non-League Videos Of The Week

Well, it’s late on Sunday night so it’s time to catch up on some more non-league videos of the week for this weekend. Our first match comes from the relegation battle at the bottom of the Blue Square Premier. With four relegation places, it’s pretty tight at the foot of the table and Hayes & Yeading United occupied one of those positions at the start of the match. They were at home yesterday afternoon against Kettering Town, who sit in the places just above the relegation places and could probably still do with a win or two just to guarantee their safety for next season. Our second match is from the Blue Square North and has a hint of the local derby about it. AFC Telford United are still chasing promotion to the Blue Square Premier at the end of this season and a win at mid-table Worcester City could put them top of the table with games in hand on the two club immediately below them in the table, Boston United and Nuneaton Town, although it is fourth-placed Alfreton Town, who have games in hand on all of the other clubs at the top of the table, that they will perhaps be looking at as their biggest rivals for the league title. Finally, we’re off to Scotland to the West of Scotland Super League First Division, for the...

Non-League Videos Of The Week

We have got four matches for you as our non-league videos of the week selection tonight. First up is a match between two teams chasing play-off places in the Blue Square South, Woking and Farnborough FC. Farnborough started the day in third place, but knew that anything other than a win could see Welling United leapfrog them on goal difference. Woking, meanwhile much improved under new manager Garry Hill and are now up to eighth place in the table. Our second match comes from the Blue Square North, and is a match between another two clubs around or about the play-off places, Blyth Spartans and Solihull Moors. Solihull are in fifth place – the last play-off spot, with Blyth just below them. Blyth, however, go into this match four points behind Solihull and desperately need three points to close the gap on their opponents in the league. We have mentioned before on this site how tight the top half of the Ryman League Premier Division is this season, and the next match up is between two teams at either end of that particular rat run. Tonbridge Angels are in fourth place in the league. They’re eleven points behind the leaders Sutton United, but only eight points ahead of Canvey Island, down in tenth place in the table. They met each other in a league match last Tuesday night. Finally,...

Non-League Videos Of The Week: Supporter-owned Club Special

If you are viewing this post from the mobile version of our site, you may be able to view it better by clicking here. This week’s Non-league videos have a running theme in that they all feature clubs that are owned by their supporters, and clubs that we are featuring this evening not necessarily those that get the most attention in the press. Our first match comes from the top of a very tight looking Blue Square North. Nuneaton Town are clear at the top of the table, but all of the teams below them have games in hand upon them. AFC Telford United have been knocking on the door of a place in the Blue Square Premier for several seasons, while Boston United are looking to reclaim the place there that they lost through demotion. The two clubs met yesterday afternoon at Boston’s York Street. Another supporter-owned team chasing promotion are Cambridge City of the Zamaretto League Premier Division. They are in the play-off positions and have games in hand on the league’s leaders, Truro City, and yesterday they were at home against Hednesford Town, who are still in the chasing pack for a play-off place themselves. Our third match comes from Scotland, where Clydebank had the chance to go to the top of the Scottish Junior Football West Division One yesterday afternoon. The club was formed in...
