Non-League Videos Of The Week: 20/08/2011

Well, all of the leagues have finally started. The Isthmian League caught up with the rest and started its competitive season this weekend, meaning that everyone has now started for the new season, and this evening two of our four matches come from this league. First up, though, we’re off to Surrey for Chertsey Town’s first match in Division One Central of the Southern League. Chertsey were promoted after finishing in second place in the Combined Counties League last season, after the champions, Guildford City, were unable to take up their promotion place because of ground issues. Slough Town, meanwhile, missed out in the semi-finals of the play-offs last season and will be hoping to go one better this season.   Our second match is from the Division One South of the Isthmian League. Their opposition on Saturday were Boston United. Boston are in third place in the table and also seem likely to be making an appearance in the play-offs this season. Our second match comes from the top of the Premier Division of the Combined Counties League, and is a real six-pointer between Chertsey Town and Camberley Town. Chertsey are top of the table, but Camberley went into the game just six points behind the home side, but with a game in hand. A win for them would open the title race wide open between these two clubs and second-placed Guildford City. Our third match features another club from the top of its division. Clydebank are at the top of the SJFA West Region Division One in Scotland, but again the top of the table is very tight. Clydebank are...
