We don’t usually post up videos like this on here, but sometimes they’re too good to pass up. Rocky Baptiste has had a long and varied in football career, including scoring for Farnborough Town at Arsenal and Havant & Waterlooville at Swansea City in the FA Cup and a handful of appearances as a substitute in the Football League for Luton Town. Now, at thirty-seven years old, he is plying his trade at Harrow Borough in the Ryman League Premier Division. Finally, fame has caught up with him through the medium of YouTube.

On Saturday, their home league match against Waltham Abbey had been a rambunctious affair. In the closing minutes of the game, Harrow were leading 5-3 when a poor header back to the goalkeeper allowed Baptiste, who rounded the goalkeeper and… well… you can see from the video what happened next. Fortunately, Baptiste has taken the miss with good humour (he claimed to be aiming for a linesman that had called him offside in an interview on BBC London’s “Non-League Show earlier this evening), and if Harrow can find a way to make a couple of shillings out of it, then good luck to them. If this video is worth watching for no other reason, it’s worth watching for the howls of disbelieving laughter as the ball squirts just wide of the corner flag.
