We have a lot of videos to get through for this week’s non-league videos of the week, as the non-league season comes to an end and the end of season play-offs begin. First up, comes a match from the race for the play-off places in the Blue Square South. With Braintree Town already promoted to the Blue Square Premier as champions of the division, most eyes on the last day of the season turned to the question of who will be joining them. Chelmsford City have been hanging around the play-off places for most of the season, and they went into their final league match of the season knowing that a win would guarantee them a place in the Blue Square South play-offs. They were at home against a Hampton & Richmond Borough side that have spent much of their season just above the relegation places and who went into Saturday’s match already safe in the knowledge that they were just about already safe.

The Blue Square South play-off semi-finals will, therefore, be between Farnborough FC and Woking, while Chelmsford City will travel to Ebbsfleet United in the other match. In the Premier Division of the Ryman League, meanwhile, a similar situation had arisen. Sutton United had been crowned as the champions of the division several weeks ago, but the race for the play-off places has been one of the tightest in the whole of English football, with more than half a dozen teams still optimistic of scraping into the play-offs on the last day of the season. We have two matches from this battle for you – first up is the match between Bury Town, who have been in or around the play-off places, and mid-table Wealdstone, and this is followed by the match between Tonbridge Angels and Hastings United. Tonbridge were also chasing a play-off place and secured it last Saturday with a win at Horsham, but this match is from the week before and saw them jump to second place in the table.

So, in the Ryman League Premier Division play-offs, Tonbridge will play Harrow Borough, while Bury Town have a derby match against Lowestoft Town in the other semi-final. A place in the Blue Square South is at stake for the winners. Finally – for now, there will be more of these later on in the week as well as reports from even more of the end of season non-league play-off matches – we’re pleased to be able to bring you highlights of two matches that we have already commented upon over the last few days. First up is the Zamaretto League Division One Central match between Hitchin Town and Slough Town, and after that we have highlights of Chester FC’s trip to Garforth Town for their final Evostik League Division One North match of the season, which saw them needing a draw to win their first league title.

Our thanks, as ever, go to those that go to the trouble of recording, editing and uploading these matches.
