Twohundredpercent started its life in May 2006. It is a website about the politics, culture, financials and history of football. We’re currently focused on the UK, but hope to expand this in the future. This site was a gold winner in the When Saturday Comes Webwatch awards in 2009 and 2010, and a silver winner of the same in 2011. In 2011 and 2013 it was nominated for and in 2012 won the Football Supporters Federation Writers Awards Website Of The Year, and also won the Editors Choice at the 2008 Soccerlens awards. In 2006, oddly enough, Twohundredpercent was for one week only The Sun’s Website Of The Week. We rather doubt that they would feel the same way about us nowadays.
We currently have two weekly podcasts, both presented by Ian King and Edward Carter. The 200% Podcast is usually recorded on Friday or Saturdays and is usually a full discussion of a subject that is not announced in advance. Previous subjects have included Vincent Tan’s bizarre pronouncements, how to fix Aston Villa, suggested rule changes, and designing our dream European Championships. The other podcast is called 200%’s World of Soccer, and is discussion of a randomly assigned football club. It is ordinarily released on a Tuesday night. Both podcasts can be streamed through the website, saved to be listened to later, or subscribed to through Itunes.
