No Stopping Them

    It might be that I’m just a grump, but in the closing stages of the match I got fairly tired pg the camera focusing on pretty girls in the crowd rather than the action on the pitch/touchline

    Here, when German TV lost pictures for the second time, they plugged in to the Swiss TV feed, thereby cutting out the ‘official’ link to the outside world that went through Vienna (where the bad weather led to a cutout). Annoyingly the commentary was a couple of seconds ahead of the pictures for the last third of the game, so we knew the goals had been scored before we saw them. Better than no vision at all though I guess…

    Shame Turkey couldn’t keep the fairy-tale going,and not only because I got them in the office sweepstake.

    Anyway, I think it’s worth pointing out that through the whole competition, they led for a total of about 7 minutes, 5 of them last night.
