Luke Young, not Ashley Young ;)

Ashley would not go for anything below 20 mill I reckon !

A disturbing trend among journalists, particularly The Guardian’s Midlands ponce Stuart James, seems to be treating Aston Villa as some sort of feeder club. Which is odd, because we finished above the supposed Ash-lovers L’Pool in the league. Not to mention being a few dubious officiating decisions away from a League Cup and an appearance in the FA Cup final (where I would hope we could have put away Pompey, but speculation is speculation.) It’s a shame that what I believe to be a promising young team is having to weather the storm of a few tabloid writers.

    Enjoyed reading that.

How the backpage press get away with such drivel is something that fascinates me. I suppose running the headline, ‘We Know As Much As You Do’ wouldn’t sell as many papers though.

A good article Ian but you might be surprised to know Luke Young is pretty popular with Villa fans. Of course this popularity may be attributable to his being in direct competition with Carlos Clubfoot Cuellar for the right back position.
