Not a bad article. I like the idea of people being chaired off the pitch should promotion come and yes Chris would deserve that, however, I would like to see Ashley and llambias given the chair (the type that plugs into the mains)I would also guarantee a full house to witness such a delightful end of season.

  2. I feel sorry for Chris Hughton because as soon as they get back in the Prem he’ll be moved aside or replaced by Mark Hughes or somebody.

Is Ashley that bad? Serious question. I believe he has lowered considerably the overall debt of NUFC and the business is in better health than under the previous tarnished regime? He has however made some ludicrous footballing decision that have cost the club in terms of league status but has it cost them their actual status?

I’m not sure what this means but Newcastle shirts are currently on sale in the ‘official’ FIFA Store in Singapore’s Changi airport. Now, they aren’t the only ones but the shirts stand out a mile rubbing shoulders with the Bayerns, Arsenal, AC, Real etc, Champs Lge clubs all. There is no sign of a Boro shirt, or indeed a Villa, Leeds or Spurs shirt, in fact I couldn’t even find a Liverpool shirt (sold out? Heh). Is this down to Newcastle’s built up international kudos? Hmmm. Last Champs Lge appearance? Must be a while ago. Why then? Generosity from FIFA? Another heh.

I know football should not just be about the brand but it’s definitely still strong worldwide and it certainly has little to do with what has happened on the pitch. So is it Ashley and his cronies?

Just a thought, it baffled me.
