Excellent article, and I’m happy that it was one that focused on Fulham’s performance, rather than just Man United’s incompetence. After the Liverpool game when Fulham dominated and won 3-1, all the press focused on Liverpool’s frailties, rather than the fact that Fulham played them off the park.

Being a frequent visitor to the Cottage, I’ve been delighted to see how Fulham have grown up under Hodgson. Gone are the days when a trip to the sunnier side of SW6 was a foregone conclusion. I don’t think people should be surprised now when Fulham beat the big boys at home. Hodgson has got them playing intelligent, tight and most importantly, effective football. Shrewd signings (Zamora, Schwarzer, Pantsil, Duff etc.) have meant now that Fulham are certainly more than the sum of their parts and another Europa League place at the end of this season is definitely within reach. Life is indeed rosy for Fulham and deservedly so.
