It’s the opening day of the 1983/84 season, and “Match Of The Day” is kicking off with a Midlands derby from Villa Park between Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion. For those of you from abroad that have always wondered what he sounds like, the commentator is John Motson and, yes, that is the Tottenham manager Martin Jol laying on a pass for Albion’s first goal.



Ian began writing Twohundredpercent in May 2006. He lives in Brighton.
