What sort of support could the authorities offer Chester Fans United?

Otherwise, another excellent article on this nonsense.

Chester beat Wimbledon. Chester spend more on players than Wimbledon and should stay up as a result. Chester just don’t seem to have paid any tax for over a year now.

“Chester City in the Championship or even the top flight.”

This kind of nonsense seems to go hand-in-hand with financial malfeasance. We heard the same sort of utter drivel from Steve Evans at Boston United a few years ago, and look at them now…

NottyImp, it really is up to the fans to be intelligent enough to not believe it in the first place.

Sadly too many buy into such rubbish.

Chester don’t seem to have much luck when it comes to their Chairman. Always remember going there in May 2001 for the last match of that season when my club, Rushden & Diamonds, picked up the Conference league title.
Before the game there was a protest march by Chester fans to the ground against their American owner and at the end of the match all the stewards piled their yellow jackets in a big heap on the pitch because they hadn’t been paid for many previous matches. Happy days!
