    Where were these people in the early 90s? Were they trying to think up florid comments about the beauty of the offside trap? Were they making smug remarks about the poetic arc of the hoofed long ball? Or, most likely, did they only start supporting Arsenal when their chum Tarquin lent them a well-thumbed copy of Fever Pitch?

    go easy on them, they’re only repeating what they’ve been told by the team of MoTD, Football Focus and most football journalists
    They probably just think they’ve got the most beautiful wife at home

    One error in their piece, though: Their ‘useless local rivals’ do of course have more European trophies than Arsenal, not the same number as the article sugests
