I really wouldn’t pin any hopes on the Football League. As has been noted, they can, and do, essentially make up the rules as they go along – e.g. contrast the way Portsmouth were allowed to apply their administration points deduction with how the rules had been applied previously.

And all because SISU decided it didn’t want to pay its bills…

SISU and the FL will do what they want. Even with the increasing pressure on the FL via the national media (because they are, at least it seems, beginning to take a bit of an interest – 30 seconds on Sky Sports News! woohoo!), surely they will again cite “exceptional circumstances” and allow it. CCFC will start the season at “home” in Northampton and everyone (apart from actual CCFC fans of course) will forget about it and we’ll be yesterday’s news before the print run’s even finished.

    Well, there’s a surprise …

Yet again, the football authorities (sic) prove themselves to be a bunch of See You in Northampton Towns

Commiserations from another CCFC supporter – in this case Cardiff City.

Actually, I’m an ex-CCFC supporter. After our club got rebranded into something I don’t even recognise any more, I’ve stopped supporting the team that has been part of my life for 40 years.

Instead I’m started supporting my local non league team, Dulwich Hamlet, and I’ve suddenly remembered that football used to be *fun* again.

    F*ck modern football.
