We continue our series of archived matches of the clubs of Football League One this morning with Oldham Athletic, and six matches from the years between 1976 and 1993. Our first match sees Oldham playing the bridesmaid to West Bromwich Albion’s bride at the end of the 1975/76 season, while our second match sees them taking on Watfordb at a very wintry looking Boundary Park in 1981. Our next four matches are from the club’s purple patch from the end of the 1980s and the start of the 1990, kicking off with a trip to Maine Road to play Manchester City from the start of the 1988/89 season, and followed with a home match against Sheffield Wednesday from the end of the 1990/91 season which ended in the club getting promoted into the First Division. We finish off with a home league match against Leeds United – the side that would end 1991/92 as the champions of England – and finally a home match from the last day of the 1992/93 Premier League season against Southampton.
