This weekend sees the FA Cup First Round stretched over three days, a most English of football occasions during which the butchers, bakers and candlestick makers of the non-league game pit their wits against the “giants” – these things are all relative – of the Football League. Today, to get you in the mood for what will be a fascinating weekend of lower league football, we have goals round-ups from the past quarter of a century of the tournaments history, along with one of the most enjoyable upsets of recent years in the form of FC United of Manchesters stunning and dramatic win at Rochdale in 2010. These highlight compilations come from 1989/90, 1992/93, replays from 2000/01, 2006/07 and 2007/08, and feature a host of familiar faces – including several who have plied their trade in the Premier League in recent years). Our thanks go to those that took the time to record, edit and upload these videos.
