Should have merged with Rushden & Diamonds when you had the chance

Potential investors can come in all shapes and sizes and all should be considered. I’m aware of one who wanted some background info but didn’t want to approach the club directly. He signed up to 2 weeks ago and still cannot log in. Seems the only people posting on there are administrators. With that sort of setup what hope can there be !

    You Dingbat Fat Dave

To be honest given the choice of merging with R&D or ceasing to exist I’d choose the latter!

With that comment you’re Obviously brain dead as well as fat Dave !!!

  7. SunrayEcho says:

Fat Dave: With supporters that, to say the least ‘hated’ one another, there was never ever a possibility to merge with Rushden and Diamonds. Shame, but there you go…..sometimes supporters are their own worst enemy.

Bristol Red: Obviously not a football supporter but more a tribal animal. Football is football whoever you watch. Better to be watching your team with your mates and discussing the merits, or otherwise, than sitting at home with thumb up bum and mind in neutral!

SunrayEcho, so you could see Man Utd wanting to join Man City? Or Liverpool & Everton? Tottenham & Arsenal?? I’m sorry but real football fans would never accept their team merging with their closest rival. Do you thing Rangers should have merged with Celtic?

I would never have supported a KTFC team merged with the Direones so if that was the choice that or no KTFC then it’s no KTFC for me and I think 95% of Poppies fans would agree. So it would be football as a neutral from then on. That said until we die officially KTFC will always be my team.

  9. Nelson says:

Surely, rather than bickering between the two sets of fans, or saying we would rather have no team than merge (which I understand) would it not be better to do what R&D did and take the matter of YOUR club into YOUR hands and starting a new club without any of the scum that ruin clubs up and down the country sticking their oar in??

Hi Ian….thank you again for your effort to keep all informed on this one…X

I enclose an email I sent today to KTFC’s ‘Poppynet’ forum. It is the 3rd such attempt I have made to join their forum. Other colleagues of mine did too….and got the same non-response. This isn’t just recent either. As I say in the e-mail….how do fans expect to deal with their situation internally ‘alone’…when they have allowed themselves to reach this point already? Accountability applies to all…not just Boards and their in-action…..I suggest.

Joe(Admin)…this is the 3rd time I have applied to use your forum ince George Rolls arrived. Other colleagues have tried too. We could have been great help to you all yet we have had no reply? Why? I’m a serious supporter of non-league football….and have interests in your catchment area. At some point the fan base has to reach beyond the current resources…it could be too late for that now though…but the channels allowing that to happen are being ignored. Someone needs to account for that situation….from a fans perspective.
