Hmmm!!!!, You missed it some. Roman brought in AVB to clean house, aka “the project”, install a new more attractive system and O! by the way, win some titles while at it. None of the triad seemed to be going well by February and the old guard had completely overrun AVB’s authority. When AVB looked over to Roman to help him crack the whip and get the guys back in line, Roman cracked the whip alright but it was AVB whose shocked backside landed on the outside of stamford bridge. But the brass at the bridge took up the clear-out “project” themselves. The solid old gang of anti-AVB players is either gone or they will be literally playing for their lives. Ashley Cole MAY finish the year at Chelsea and even Lampard will have to accept less playing time going forward. The “project” was only delayed. It will take two seasons and a better frontline for the fruits of this project to be ripe.

I wouldn’t pin too much on Josh McEachran for next season. Looked pretty much out of his depth when on loan at Swansea.
