    Premier League fans should thank the Glazers and their massive unnecessary debt for making the competition even vaguely competitive again.

    The fact that hundreds of millions of pounds unnecessarily flows out of football just adds to the depressing circus “our” national sport has become.

    All that money could have been used to rebuild our sporting infrastructure on the German model instead but our craven Murdoch government will never legislate against its friends.
