Excellent article. Most people acknowledge that Jamie Waltham is highly unlikely to play for the club again hence the “sacked” headline as which appeared in the Scarborough Evening News. However, the club statement actually says that both players are not in the plans of the club in the “immediate” future, which may find a way back eventually after a period of remorse for Phillips who to his credit statyed an apology to everyone involved in the club both in the local paper and on the fans message board.

SAFC as a club have responded in a positive fashion and one that the majority of fans agree with.

As an SAFC supporter I fully support the action taken by the club, however after only FIVE DAYS Phillips has represented the club at reserve team level. Sadly this is not showing respect.

Yet again a football club lets down the respect campaign and its own core supporters.

You would expect this from the Premiership but not SAFC.

I really feel like giving up supporting any football club

What a total joke this feeble attempt has been at gaining SAFC some good publicity.

2 weeks after Phillips was told he would never play for Boro again HE PLAYED FOR THE FIRST TEAM TODAY.

Even small trust run clubs say one thing for the publicity and then do completely the opposite.

I will not be renewing my membership of the trust my faith in a fans run club has been well and truly destroyed, my feelings of a fresh start etc etc not being like chairmen owned clubs has been sunk
