This has been threatened so many times before, leading to the big clubs getting a bigger, and bigger slice of the pie everytime. I hope that FIFA/UEFA/FA call their bluff this time and let the Super League form. Leave the rest of football to become more sensible and accessible for all…. and the fat cat gorge themselves to an early grave.

A super league would basically compact everything that is crap about modern football into one, bite-sized chunk.

Hopefully the rest of us can use our cleansed divisioned to bring some sense and respect back to the game!

Hope you don’t mind the plug but I actually wrote an article on this subject last month, I reckon a breakaway league could actually be good for domestic football.

Wenger is probably right in assuming that we’re moving towards a European league. Simply because the financial benefits for the big clubs would be huge.
