Speaking of getting sloppy with the facts, he said these things on Thursday afternoon’s Daily Politics rather than This Week as you incorrectly state.

Blimey Dan a bit of “getting sloppy with the facts” is hardly a suitable reply about the editor of a newspaper that has for years been decieitful with the facts to the point of lying
THe most uncomfortable thing though is that 4 million people are still prepared to pay for this stuff

McKenzie is exactly why I gave up on the written press many years ago. The Sun was a disgrace, and continues to be so to this day, as does the Daily Mail and the rest of them.
As far as Hilsborough goes, I am glad that the documents are being released. However, to make sure that something like this never happens again, we must have the truth from all sides. The Sth Yorkshire Police, The Hilsborough Ground Staff and the Liverpool fans. While there is no doubt that their has been a cover up by those in authority, some fans must come clean about their actions. It was not 100% the fault of the police. After all, we saw what happened in Athens and know how close it could have become to being another tragedy.
My commenst will, no doubt, upset some, for that I am sorry and mean no offence. However, aprt from closure for the victims, the biggest thing is to ensure that such a tragedy never happens again!
