I tried to think of some other good finals in the Champions League era, but it’s difficult – most games have been either very dour, or very one-sided. The best one for me would probably be the most one-sided of them all – Milan’s 4-0 win over Barcelona in 1994. It was an incredible display that night by Milan, with Marcel Desailly absolutely magnificent. And bizarrely, that Milan team had scored only 36 goals in 34 games in winning Serie A that season.
