“Despite an expansion to 14 clubs being the popular choice for both supporters and club chairs”

Don’t most fans in Scotland want a 16 team league?

Thanks for reading. Yes, 16 seems to be the most favoured number by most fans (the Motherwell Supporters poll sticks in my mind ). Rather than 16, though, the club chairs highlighted 14 as the expansion number that was the one they would likely push for, which seems to fall somewhat close in popularity for the number of clubs to expand the SPL by from those polled, aligning fans’ expectations with what the clubs will likely push for now.
