So if Tevez is technically on loan to Man Utd, whilst his registration is held by his agent, what exactly were West Ham guilty of that Man U aren’t ?

The same as Liverpool would have been for Mascherano. I’ve had it explained to me, I’ve accepted the little subtleties and technicalities that made West Ham apparently guilty and Liverpool and Man United innocent, but I can’t really say I understand how one set of circumstances is intrinsically so much wronger than the other.
