    Two words – Dino Zoff!

    But seriously, the England cricket team’s current travails with Kevin Pietersen illustrate the dangers of picking someone who wants to play international sport rather than represent their country. And before anyone brings up the Republic of Ireland’s ability to make a team out of people born in both the Emerald Isle and annywhere else they fancy, at least in the majority of cases there was some degree of Irish family history.

    I’ve been saying it a while now but give Paul Robinson another chance. The man’s been solid for Blackburn this season.
