I’m a Swansea man myself, and the plaudits that have been ringing the last few months (and will no doubt start to bore and/or annoy people soon!) are thoroughly well-deserved. The football they play is fantastic, and it’s in a side where three left-backs and the two most influential central defenders have all had long term injuries this season (all are still out). There’s no doubt that Martinez is the cause; he’s built this side on a tiny budget and it’s one to be proud of. We are celebrating these as the good days…unfortunately, I’ve got no doubt that Martinez will go on to bigger and better things sooner rather than later, and he’ll leave behind a club with a good board, a team with style and effectiveness, but also an almost impossible job – to bring success to a club with a tiny budget that has been spoiled by this fantastic football. Oh yes, these are the good days alright, and we should cherish them while they’re here.

D’oh!! I mean central midfielders – Bodde and Pratley. Our central defenders have been pretty injury free actually…
