Keeper Rob French was a late loanee from Ebbsfleet United. He doesn’t get any first-team experience there, as he’s our third keeper behind Lance Cronin and Sam Mott. How did he do (other than as the score line indicates)?

Superb account of the day. I attended the game as my team (Mansfield) didn’t have a game. I also found the Bognor officials to be the most friendly I have ever encountered. I hope they have some success. I noticed on the Bognor newspaper website that the Bognor manager and assistant quit after the game. I agree that Kedwell looks way too good for this level. I believe he was at Grays earlier this season and left for personal reasons.

Brenton – Rob French looked OK in a poor team. Made a few good saves, and will have done himself no harm . Hope Bognor can find a way to survive – s friendly welcoming club on the 2 ocaions we have played there.

If anyone is interested, coverage of Bognor’s previous two games, including that other 5-1 defeat, can be found at my site – http://dubsteps.blogspot.com.

These are written from the perspective of their festive opposition (being that they are the club that I support) and are certainly overly verbose in style, for which I apologise in advance. However, thought it may be of interest to some.

Rob French made his debut against us on New Years Day and looked nervous to begin with (understandable as he was called up on loan very late and may not have been that acquainted with his new team-mates). Once we got our act together and started descending on his goal he made several fine saves. Certainly grew in confidence very quickly.
