The After Show Party

Long time readers will remember how exciting things all got last December, when we won the award for being the “Best Blog That You’ve Never Heard Of” at the 2007 Soccerlens Awards. Well, another year has gone by and it looks as though we have gone up in the world because today it was confirmed that this little site has won the 2008 Soccerlens Awards Editors Choice for being the Best British Football Blog of the year. I would like to take this opportunity to extend my thanks to Ahmed, Marco and the rest of the guys at Soccerlens for thinking of me. It means a great deal to me. Congratulations also to everybody that won an award, and to everybody else that was nominated. Primarily, my thanks go to the people that read Twohundredpercent. Without you guys, there’s no doubt that I would have packed up my laptop and gone home by now. It is a pleasure and an honour to write for you.

Ian began writing Twohundredpercent in May 2006. He lives in Brighton. He has also written for, amongst others, Pitch Invasion, FC Business Magazine, The Score, When Saturday Comes, Stand Against Modern Football and The Football Supporter. Ian was the first winner of the Socrates Award For Not Being Dead Yet at the 2010 NOPA awards for football bloggers.

As a Canadian fan, and a member of MyFC, you offer invaluable insight into British football: the traditions, economic issues, and so on. I’m just now getting a sense of the state of British football, why certain traditions are important, what it means to be a non-league club, and so on. Many thanks. – Brenton
