    Who’d have thought Fabio Capello could turn a group of average players into winners? ;)

    I can’t see the football getting much better, but I think the second half sprees point to the fact that Capello is smart enough to see that fitness ss the one area where English players are genuinely stronger than a lot of their opponents.

    I am not surprised by Heskey winning 50 caps, England always play better with him around, making him (at the very least) a good luck charm. What does surprise me is that Wayne Rooney is not yet 23 years of age. He looks at least double that.
